LEITAI Book Seminars

On Thursday, March 26 (10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.), the first LEITAI Book Seminar, titled “Technoscience: Law, Ethics, and Philosophy,” took place at the splendid headquarters of the Pegaso Telematic University in Rome (Piazza SS. Apostoli 49). I had the pleasure of organizing the event together with Prof. Andrea Lavazza.

The event was dedicated to the presentation of the book “The Age of Technoscience: Education, Society, Politics” (Carocci, 2025), edited by Prof. Andrea Lavazza, with a foreword by the Rector, Prof. Pierpaolo Limone.

Pegaso University hosted this first Book Seminar promoted by the Centre for Law and Ethics of Innovation, Technology and Artificial Intelligence (LEITAI).

Thanks to the presence of distinguished speakers from the academic, institutional, and professional worlds, the discussion focused on the legal, ethical, and philosophical challenges of the era of artificial intelligence, driven by data and algorithms. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for scholars, professionals, and students to explore the challenges of a society guided by data and algorithms.

Following opening remarks by the Rector, Prof. Pierpaolo Limone, the Director, Prof. Valeria Confortini, the Director, Prof. Andrea Garavaglia, and the Director of the LEITAI Center, Prof. Andrea Stazi, presentations were given by Prof. Giuseppe Corasaniti, technologist Massimo Chiriatti, and attorney Luca Bolognini. The discussants were Prof. Andrea Lavazza (editor of the volume), Prof. Marco Fenici, PhD, and myself. The session was moderated by CorCom Director Federica Meta.
